Belieber, today we celebrate a 1 year celebration of Justin´s forth album, the BELIEVE album, which brought joy and happiness as it inspired the now famous and appreciated BELIEVE TOUR.
It all started when a snippet of the first single off this album, “Boyfriend”, was previewed on The Ellen Show. The song was set to release on the 26th of March, 2012. Justin explained how the song would surprise us in different ways, having it be a departure from his previous sounds. A few hours of its release, “Boyfriend” reached the top position on the US iTunes, and was debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 after selling a total of 521,000 digital units. The song sold 3,216,000 downloads in the US by December 2012.
“As Long As You Love Me feat. Big Sean” was first released June 11th, 2012 as a promotional single from the album. A month later, it was released as the album’s second single. The single reached #1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay Chart, giving Justin his first #1 single on an American airplay music chart. It also reached the #1 position on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, making him the 5th Canadian artist to reach that position after Martin Solveig’s “Hello” in 2011. The song sold 2,240,000 copies in the US by December 2012.
“Beauty And A Beat feat. Nicki Minaj” was released as a third official single from the album. Following the release of the album, “Beauty And A Beat” debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at #72 due to strong digital downloads. After the release of its music video, it re-entered the Hot 100 at #72 and peaked at #5. The song’s music video was released October 12th, 2012 on Youtube, and held the record for most views in a single day with 10.6 million views.
“Believe”, Justin’s fourth studio album, was released June 19th, 2012. Within 12 hours of its release, “Believe” went to #1 in 33 countries. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 374,000, and was also Justin’s fourth #1 album. It dropped to #3 in its second week, with sales of 115,000 copies. “Believe” was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on July 31st, 2012. The album sold 57,000 copies in its first week in Canada. Also debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart, with sales of 38,115 copies, making Justin the second youngest male solo artist ever to reach #1. As of 6th of July, 2012, the album has sold over 98,000 copies in Canada. In Brazil, the album was certified platinum within 3 days of its release. “Believe” has sold 1,324,000 copies in the US in 2012 and still continues to sell more.

On the 29th of January, 2013, “Believe Acoustic” was released, featuring 8 songs off “Believe” and 3 new songs “Yellow Raincoat”, “I Would”, and “Nothing Like Us”. “Believe Acoustic” debuted at #1 making him the first artist in history to score five number one albums before turning 19 years old.
This album has surprised a lot of people, including us fans, and changed many people’s views on Justin, and his music, in a good way. We are all proud of how far Justin has come since the release of this album, and we have faith in how far he can go! We’re always ready for new music from him, and always ready to make him proud. I honestly don´t know how we got this far after all the hate and critisim but where would we be, if we didn´t BELIEVE.
