He tells AccessAtlanta:
This so-called Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition is something we’re not aware of. We’ve never heard of them.
We’ve had calls from CNN, from the UK, from the daily newspaper in Canada. It’s made international news. There are so many other things more important to concentrate on. This too shall pass.
The Bieber protest turned out to be a joke radio prank.
According to AccessAtlanta, turns out the Facebook group was all just a radio prank by radio guys via Rock 100.5/Atlanta’s The Regular Guys, although it did attract more than 500 fans and some legitimate comments from actual Buckhead residents. The handful of protesters attended the event were radio interns.
A message on the page said:
As a community here in Buckhead, we have worked hard to achieve our goals and get to where we are. Justin Bieber’s relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community. Some can’t even let their children play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence, before. What’s to say he won’t do it again? As a home owner down the street from this residence, one can assume many people will be contacting real estate agents soon enough.
Please do not allow a child to ruin what we have worked so hard to obtain. Thanks for the support!
The page has comments from readers both for and against Justin Bieber’s move.
As previously reported, Justin has shown interest in buying a home on Blackland Road in Buckhead, and the Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition announced on its Facebook page it is protesting his potential move onto the street.
Justin is currently renting a spaceship house nearby on Northside Drive in Buckhead, owned by music producer Dallas Austin.
To be honest, they just look silly and pathetic. They probably thought that this was goin to be a turn out but five people? that is just sad and pathetic really. I guess they should be concetrating on more important issues going on in the world than, something more useful and of more importance Justin moving to a neighbourhood that they don't even live in. It feels like people have lost focus fo the important thinsg in life right now and would rather discuss Justin Bieber instead of the toxic wastes being dumped in certain areas. People just like to talk alot of BS.
